Hi
I'm a newbie and about the same when it comes to motorcycle mechanics
My old girl ('93 XJ600S Diversion) is parked outside
I ride her every day - about 10Km each way to/from work
A couple of weeks ago I did plugs, oil, filter, etc
I noticed today the oil was milky in colour, removed the fill cap and it's a thick milky liquid - like a milkshake
I understand this would normally indicate water in the oil - but have no idea how this could have happened - everything's sealed pretty well, no leaks, etc
I did change the oil to a synthetic this change, and K&N filter
As I'm pretty poor right now, I'm freaking out
What would cause this - besides water in the oil?
And if it is water in the oil - how could it have gotten there - besides being parked outside, and it's been raining lots
Condensation I wouldn't expect to have this big an affect
My local bike mechanics I don't trust - they're criminals - and this is my only daily commute
Is this a case of change filter and flush oil a couple of times, and try again?
What's you're experience?
What else should I be looking at?
