I am going to re-wire my front end, and I have been thinking about maybe replacing the wiring all the way back to the battery since it is 22 years old now. Either way, I want to make sure that the wiring can withstand the heat coming off the engine. I researched wires a few years ago for work, but I was spending company money and don't really remember the deal on insulation. So anyway, I am shopping for some good quality wire with insulation that can withstand the heat of the air-cooled engine. I found a great deal on audiopipe primary wire (AP-18-100), but I can't find any information on the insulation temp rating, or anything like that. I'm worried that the insulation will get scorched and hard within a few years.
You guy have any recommendations? I found some GLX wiring on ebay, but it's several times the cost of the audiopipe wire.
