Herculean Kickstand spring help

How does one man, let alone 5 or 6, get the dag gum kickstand spring connected to both ends...at the same time? I'm pretty sure the evil goo from the chain has something to do with it. I've taken a chainsaw wrench, notched out the flat blade part to attach to the frame mount so I can just slide it down the shaft...but that just aint workin. Duct Tape and ratchet straps???? WD40 and Sasquatch spit???? JB Weld and powdered tongue of dragon???
