So now that I have my bike working again, I went to finally mount my universal speedo sensor to the front wheel so that I could have a speedo again, and lo and behold, I couldn't find anywhere to mount it... The magnet is fairly thick, and it basically won't fit anywhere on the wheel that it won't hit the fork tube as the wheel spins.
Here is the kit I got.
One of the reasons I went with the simple magnet and hall kit is because the Acewell uses a 2 wire speed pickup, and this one is 2 wire (I assumed they'd be compatible). Most of the transmission sensors are 3 wire, which I assume is something different and wouldn't be compatible.
I had thought about mounting it on the rear sprocket, but it gets really dirty back there and the sensor probably wouldn't stand up to the punishment.
Any thoughts on what I could do?
