Will I get the proper measurement when checking float height if I have the engine running with the petcock set to "on?" (Rather than elevate the fuel tank and have the petcock on prime as it says in the how-to). The carb is nearest the choke and easy to get to with the tank on.
When I checked it with the engine running last night the fuel level came out to be about 9mm below the line on the bowl. This carb has been leaking from the bowl while the engine is running so that is why I'm interested in the float height.
