I'm moving this thread to this section since it's really not a trouble shooting problem and someone might find it here easier in the future.

So the paint, that I sprayed last summer, is peeling up pretty bad under the gas cap around the filler hole. Pretty much the entire sunken area under the gas cap has peeled and lifted up. I did spray with 2K clear so I don't really understand what happened.

As you can see the damage is extensive. I used a razor blade to cut away the worst parts and you can see how it peeled up and is now sitting on the work bench

Is it best to paint that area with something like a spray can cap covering the hole and then remove it and spraymax clear the whole hole opening and all, or should I use some masking tape to tape of the outside edges of the hole when I clear? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!
