Weird noises

Hi guys I'm new to this forum, I'm 16 and just sold my dirtbike and got myself a 93 Yamaha xj600, I really like the bike but I'm alittle worried about a ticking like noise coming from the engine, I've done a little research about this and other ppl have the same problem, they said it's normal and to get use to it because it's a noisy bike, is this true and if so why? I made a video of my bike starting up and I will post it on youtube and attach the link I'm just not use to this noises and what not and a little help would be appricated, now it doesn't sound as bad as it does in person as it sounds on video.
