Does the tank, airbox and carbs really need to be removed to get the valve cover off in order to do a valve clearance check? It seems like I would be able to get at all the cover screws and just pull it up and out of the way. I have smallerish hands so I think I would be able to work around there fairly easy. Just wanted to ask before I dive into the project. If I have to remove the carbs and everything it becomes a bit of a bigger project. I hate messing around with the carbs and the throttle cables. Just wondering, let me know.
