Thanks for voting me XJOTM January 2014.
I owe a lot of gratitude to a lot of you for helping me along the way. To those of you that provided me with parts, thank you very much. In no order, Greeny4704, Trialsstar34, wzc0014, NelsonMD, JMUgineer, XJSeattle, Draco, and radare all gave me excellent deals on pretty key parts. A whole lot of you gave me useful advice on solving my little problems along the way, especially 1Oldman and radare. To those of you I've listed and to everyone else, thanks for contributing to this community for the 4 years and some months that I've been a part of it. Without this bunch, I wouldn't have even attempted a restoration.

Here's my little narrative.

I picked up my 1996 in November of 2009 with a burned out rear tire, a crappy homemade windscreen, and POSSUM in big goofy stickers across the front of the fairing. I cleaned it up a bit and pretty much left it alone.

I proceeded to ride the crap out of it through grad school and the couple years after. I never modified it much, just kept it in good running order and rode all over Arkansas.

Here's a thread that has a couple of my solo camping trips in it, but not too much else: Ozark Travels, or pictures of my bike in front of things Now updated with a little photo dump as the most recent post.

And then it got stolen and eventually recovered.

I moved to Colorado and was able to truck it back in January 2013. Since then, I've spent the last year working to turn a scrap heap into something that I'm proud to call mine.

Thanks again for being a great community and rooting for me.
Go soothingly on the grease mud, as there lurks the skid demon.
