abused the heck out of the standard nexus on my 600s, pulled the chicken wire and other crap from the end of the exhaust, also made a few holes in the exhaust itself on the joins, 2 at the end of the can near the Y connector and 1 at the opposite end..
this actually made it accelerate a heck of a lot faster!
no flat spots runs pretty sweet.. also sounds a noticeable amount better.
