Wouldn't mind a bit of help diagnosing a problem!
I noticed my timing cover (stator cover?) was wet and there was a small wet mark on the ground underneath it.
The liquid appeared to be petrol and not oil (which was my first fear!)
The tank, fuel lines and petcock are all fine.
I have traced it and it seems both 1 and 2 carbs are pretty soaked in petrol, and it is dripping down onto the lower engine casing before running onto the timing cover.
I only have a sidestand so I can't confirm whether this is happening when the bike is parked upright.
When the engine is running I can't see any obvious leak from the carbs.
The bike is also very hard to start from cold, but runs 100%
I am wondering if all this points towards a sticking float needle?
my bike has the electric fuel pump (euro bike) and not the vacuum fuel system if that makes a difference. Tap is left in the ON position.
