Xj stopped running. Can't figure it out

Ok so I fired my bike up the other day. It had a little miss to it. Figured maybe cause I got caught in the rain the previous day. I went to my mailbox while it was running still came back and it was not running. Now it will not start up. It will fire for about 3 to 4 seconds then shut off. Any ideas? Please help me figure this out
