OK, I need a little sanity check here in diagnosing a charging system troubles.
I had a dead battery in the morning the other day after leaving the bike to sit for about a week while I was in CO for labor day. I jumped it and rode 40 miles to work. That night when I left, the battery was still dead. I took the battery off and charged it today, and my charger says it is ok, and it started the bike after putting it back in.
Anyway, I am having trouble remembering they charging system here. The battery should have gotten charged after 40 miles right? so then if the battery isn't charging, but the engine is getting enough voltage to run on it's own, is that a regulator problem?
I know I'm totally being lazy since I could probably look this up, but I am bushed tonight and an distracted by the broncos game.
