Brake Light Out

I installed new LED turn signals in the rear of the bike and went to install the front signals and there are three wires coming from the old turn signal and only 2 from the new LED. From the bike comes a long blue/red, green and then a short black wires which makes 3. What do I hook up to the LED red black wires? If I hook up the red to the blue/red and the green to the black, the signal is very dim, if i hook up the black LED wire to both the green and black wires from the bike, then my brake light flashes as the signal. Also, for some reason now my brake light won't light up when i hit the front brake lever or rear foot brake, although it lights up as a running light and works. Where have I gone wrong?
