I recently took the carbs apart and cleaned everything. I cleaned the metal parts in chemdip (jets, float bowl covers) and soaked the bank of carbs using the pine sol method. Everything came out sparkling clean, and I replaced the main jet o-ring, the needle seat o-ring, and the float bowl o-ring. There are new spark plugs, a new air filter, new oil filter, and fresh oil change. I can't get it to start. I think it's a fuel delivery problem but I don't know what to try next :wallbash:
- I have spark
- All 4 float bowls are full after cranking it over, they all drain out
- I can keep it running if I take the air filter off and apply pressure with my hand to the top of the carbs. After doing this, they fill up with gas and it keeps firing. If I had a spray bottle with gas I could probably keep it running forever.
I really hope I'm missing something obvious, because I'm about to sell it as-is. Taking it to a mechanic would cost almost as much as the bike is worth.
Any ideas?
