HEy everybody.. I am Chris and I just purchased a 96 xj600sh! I am very pleased with this bike but to be honest I really have no idea what's goin on underneath the seat lol.. I mean obviously it's a motor and takes gasoline and oil to keep it running, but as far as suspension, carbs, fuel system, forks, brake, clutch and the like I am a total newb. I am very mechanically inclined just haven't had the opportunity to get my hands on my own bike to play with. Basically I just got the bike and was wondering if anybody had like a simple checklist of sorts of things to look for or be aware of? It's runs and rides very nicely..noticed a pretty good rattle around 4500rpms but apparently a good carb cleanin and synchro is all that is in order? Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated!!
