I have managed to find neutral between gears probably 10 times this short riding season despite not having done so once in the previous 3 years or riding (as in I upshift and get nothing but revs instead of the higher gear). Any thought as to why? Are there some wear parts in the transmission that could cause this? The bike is at about 17k miles now and probably has never had the tranny opened up.
Also this morning, I got stuck between gears, heard alot of rattling, like something was either just catching, or like something broke and was getting blown around in there. It took me a couple tries to get it back into gear, then on my way to work I heard some rattling above about 60mph that I havn't head before. The bike didn't seem to react at all, but I definitely havn't head it before. I am not sure these issues are all related, but I figure I''ll throw it out to you guys and see if you have any ideas.
