Hey guys,

Been lurking for a while. My wife has a 92' Seca II and has been riding it for 3 years now. She's put about 10k miles on it since we've owned it and this past year it started to weep a lot from the right side head gasket.

Since the bike has been running kinda 'funny' lately, I decided to do a full tuneup.

-New carb boots.
-New carb to intake clamps
-Clean and balance the carbs
-New intake o-rings
-new carb o-rings and gaskets
-valve check
-new head gasket
-oil change
-new stator gasket
-balance the carbs
-new plugs
-new air filter

So... I have the bike stripped down and began to take the head off (which now I need 2 new crown nuts, thanks 20 years of heat!) to my surprise, once I got the head off the bike there are 3 thin aluminum gaskets.

I have ordered a new gasket and it should be arriving tomorrow, but is this from the factory? The 3 gaskets? It was obviously leaking between 2 of them as the head and top of the jugs are clean.

The next question I have is what solvents should I use to clean the head/piston tops with?

I definitely do not want to use any abrasives.

Thanks in advance!
