Fuel pump noise

Hi, my 600n has a very noisy fuel pump almost like a continous banging,I first thought it was the clutch but have found the source at last . The noise is present even when the bike is running ,it probably makes this continous noise 3 or 4 times a second . I have put my hand around the fuel pump when the bike is running and you can feel the hammering sound from within. can anyone please advise . Your comments or suggestions would be most welcome..Thank you
