Hello my name is John. I'm 22 and from the East Bay Area near San Francisco, I just bought my 1992 Seca II today after spotting it on Craigslist last week while looking for my next bike. The seller had posted one picture of it but I took one look and knew I had to have a black Seca II (I'm also a huge fan of notoriously long lasting engines). Turned out to be a really well kept bike for a great price so I bought it. I do all the work on my vehicles myself so I'll be browsing these forums thoroughly for information on maintenance, etc. I also own a 1995 BMW 325i, surprisingly easy to maintain so far I've had it for two years and it's been fantastic. And I'm currently selling my old '91 Nighthawk 250 that I used to learn about carburetors and... what a bad wiring job looks like... I resurrected it from the dead and rode it for awhile before I decided I needed something bigger and bought the Seca II.
Also, if you're a fellow BMW E36 owner let me know!
I hope to learn a lot here. Here's a shot of my bike:
