Okay, so my frame, wheels and other various bits go in for powder coating some time next week and the rest of the body work will go in to be painted some time after that. The colour scheme i'm going for is black and gun metal grey with the wheels being grey, the frame being black, the body work being black with a gun metal grey stripe down the centre and other parts like the brake calipers etc being black. I'm worried my engine won't fit into the colour scheme i'm going for so was thinking of painting it black (matt preferably) A few people have told me don't bother it chips off after a couple of weeks but some others have told me that if you do it properly and use the right paint it will be fine. So i'm asking has anyone done this before or knows a good technique? Also what paint is best? and do i even need to primer the engine?

Thanks,
Steve
