Hi all! I'm new to the forum as I just purchased a 1995 seca ii last week.
I've started and ridden the bike twice now, it ran as well as I would expect it to for how cold it is in Ohio, but I didn't ride long, just through the neighborhood to make sure it all worked, and it seemed like it did. On the second time, the bike stalled out while i was braking hardish, and wouldn't start back up. I drained the battery trying, and so I had someone come out to give me a jump, and it still wouldn't start. I got it back on once, but it wasn't enough to move the bike, just barely enough to idle, and it stalled when I tried to let out the clutch. :nervous:
That was yesterday. Now, the bike won't start at all, even with a jump. It turns over, but no ignition, and it won't bump start either. I've got the battery on a trickle charger now, and I'm not sure what it could be other than a bad battery or charging system. Any ideas?? :help:
On a side note, I have put fresh gas in it since it stopped starting, and the petcocks been on prime just to see if anything works, though I've tried starting it on reserve as well.
