fuel level and float height on yamaha xj 600n '98 uk

hi. i have a big problem with fuel level adjustment and float height adjustment on mikuni bds 28 , and i need hlp.
in haynes manual the fuel level is 8,5-9,5 mm above float chamber line...i think [in picture says so )
in yamaha xvs 650 '97 manual Equipped with mikuni bds 28 the fuel level is 7,5 -8,5 below float chamber line
my question is Which is corect .??
anyone have the manual for yamaha xj 600 n 98 year uk version??thnks.
