YZF600R Fork Swap

I have a complete YZF front end and will soon do the change-over, but I have a question for you fellas that have done it:

I plan on keeping the factory fairing and I also plan on using clip-ons. Has anyone else used clip-ons with the fairing. I have the YZF bars(low), VTR Superhawk bars(medium) ans VFR bars(tall) so I do have some options. My wish is to use the YZF bars and I am not adverse to working on the steering stop bungs as long as the radius does not become stupid useless(like a ducati)
