Hi all - had a strange one this morning... It was around 41 when I left this morning, after about 20 miles or so I noticed I was losing speed (6th gear, up around 55mph or so). Downshifted and eventually pulled over as it was still losing power. Pulled in the clutch as I was on the shoulder and the engine stopped, lights still on. I could turn it over but it wouldnt start. There wasnt alot of gas in the tank, but at least a half gallon or so. Put it on reserve and tried again, nada. Pulled the choke and tried again just to make sure I covered my bases and nothing. Had someone bring me some gas and filled it, still wouldnt start but noticed that now the bike was slowing down on the turn over like the battery was low. I eventually trailered it back to my house, replaced the battery and still wouldnt start at first. Then I held in the start for a full 90 seconds or so and eventually it started. Let it idle for 5 minutes or so with the choke then let it off. After letting it warm up for about 10 minutes total I noticed it was idling a bit strange, revved it bit and it would stall. Started, revved, stall...
Sorry for the long post. Still new with diagnosing motorcycle issues...
BTW, I have only put about 80 miles total on this bike since purchasing on Sunday so I'm am new to it's idiosyncrasies yet...
