My bike has been down for a couple of weeks due to a bad starter. Finally got the starter in and went to start it, no go. Thinking my battery had died, I set the motorcycle battery on a tender and hooked up a car battery via jumper cables to the motorcycle. Started turned over just fine, and with some tuning, I got the bike to what I think is back to riding condition.
Back to the battery: I pulled the battery off of the tender for a day, hooked it up to the bike, nothing. No tail lights, no headlight, and certainly no start. This puzzled me, but thinking that my battery tender had been damaged from being left out in the rain and maybe didn't charge the motorcycle battery, I took the battery to autozone. They did a full charge over 4 hours, and went I picked up the battery confirmed it took a charged by testing it with a multimeter, which read 12.59V. I thought great, bad battery tender, good battery. I took the battery home, hooked it up to the bike, and, just as before, nothing. No lights, no start.
What do you think could be the problem?
