So, I have my forks all apart thanks to 1Oldman's great how-to write up and I am wanting to paint my lowers. I already got the semi-gloss black engine enamel and some 320 grit paper (I may get some 220 to make it go faster) I am just wondering if anyone has some tips and tricks to sanding around all the little cracks and crevices on the forks? How important is it to get all the old paint off on those parts? Is it ok to just scuff them up good so the new paint bonds well? What do you guys/gals use to cover the ends so paint doesn't get in the inside? Basically, if someone has a good how-to on painting fork lowers that would be sweet, if not, I plan putting one together if all turns out well when I'm done. Thanks again, and happy riding!!!!
