Last night I noticed that a grinding noise seems to be coming from the alternator housing. I know in a car this means that bearings are going and the alternator could be on the verge of seizing.
Does this similarly occur in a motorcycle alternator?
Can a motorcycle alternator be rebuilt? Has anyone on here done so?
My Hayne's service manual had very little information on the alternator...
