So, I was thinking how it might be nice to have some of those metal guards or brackets for saddlebags on our bikes. Make mounting of the soft sided bags a little more stable. Naturally finding a direct fit is proving dificult. I am in the process of trying to find something else that will work.
XJ600 92-98 saddlebag mounting holes are 17.30375cm center to center, or 6 13/16 (6.8125) inches center to center.
The closest I've found so far are for what's listed as "06 harley softail, 00 and up heritage fatboy," which are 6.25 inches center to center.
Also found another Harley listing as "harley sportster superglide dyna universal," 6.25 inches center to center.
**Honda Rebel 250 170mm center to center**
Most of the others I've found so far are way too big, a Harley dyna wideglide 10.25 center to center, Yamaha V-star 1100 9.125 inches center to center, suzuki intruder 12 inches center to center, and a honda Shadow which is tiny at 4 inches center to center.
There is a "universal saddle bag support kit" by saddleman for metric cruisers that would work, but it's kinda cheesy looking.
I'll update this as I find out more.
