Not sure where to begin looking. Never worked on a carb engine. We got the bike to turn over by popping the clutch in second but won't stay running it just turns over for a sec or two. Having a starter issue so we have to pop the clutch to get it to run.
We put carb cleaner straight into the combustion chamber and it basically ran for a few seconds off the carb cleaner(we sprayed a LOT in there)...
Anyways we did a small tune up with new plugs and and changed the oil. Seems like when we get the bike to turn over we can't feed it any fuel. Like turn the throttle and it isn't getting any fuel.
Any suggestions to test if the fuel pump is good? Or anyway to test it? Also if I have to buy a new one any suggestions on where to buy from, new to the xj so not sure where to get parts at discounted prices or good prices.
