Something I wanted to do as part of Project Mousetrap was install a set of hard saddlebags (but removable). I love the design of the Givi V35's but I DON'T like the $500 pricetag.

So my compromise is a set of Givi E21 bags. They're smaller, look like trashcans to me, but are lockable, removable and should work fine for the '97.

Since GIVI no longer makes sidemounts for the XJ600, I'll have to make my own. I purchased a set of the latch kits from Twisted Throttle and will make my own sidemounts when I have the bags to design from.

Here's the instructions for adding the Givi mounts to the SW Motech racks. I think it'll be simple enough to build a set of plates that I can bolt to the stock frame mounts and use these to adapt the bags. But we'll see.

I got both the bags and mounts for under $220 from TwistedThrottle. More to come.
