History:
I bought the bike from a friend of mine for $1k. It didn't run well, had trouble starting, died alot on take-off, etc... He bought it before he had his license, so my other friend had to go with him to buy so he could ride it home (he had gotten his license the day before), and he ended up going over the handle bars and laying it down pulling out of the guy's driveway. Then my friend that bought it got his license, and dropped it while learning to ride. Then I bought it, and laid it down again when I got target fixation while turning and hit the curb. I bent the handlebar, bent the brake lever, and scratched the mirror. I am pretty sure the PO also laid it down at least once too as some parts were already broken when my friend bought. So naturally, the fairings were pretty broken and scratched, but here is what makes this bike a little miracle, there isn't so much as a scratch or dent on the tank, frame, or engine. They are flawless. But that didn't last long, I tipped it over in my driveway and scratched the engine cover a bit.

Oh, and here's the other lady in my life. Her name is Sheila, and she has some serious problems...

Lookin' good. Your XJ really is in great condition considering how many times it has been dropped lol. That R6 tail looks great, too!

Thanks. That undertail swap is the best mod I have done on it. perhaps not quite as dramatic a change as the S to N conversion, but I couldn't be happier with the look of the new tail, and with the new light set, I love it even more. I'll have to post a video of what the turn signals look like once I get it put back together.

BTW, updates in blue

Thanks for the compliments guys. I am really liking how it it looks with just a couple appearance mods. Now I can hopefully get it running even better with some engine maintenance work.

No, it doesn't throw on me at all. The undertail gets dirty, but I don't get anything on me. Just watch ebay for cheap tails and you can pick one up super cheap. I posted one I found for $25. Then another $30 for the integrated tail light/turn signal and you are good to go.

Hehehehehe, yeah... She's a never ending list of work to be done. She's also my DD, so I can't go overboard with the off-road mods. Let me know when you are back. I'd love to play in the snow up there.
