Dual Sport Tires

I have a second wheelset for my red '92 Seca II and I've been toying with the idea of fitting a set of dual-sport tires to that spare wheelset for the occasional dirt-road trips. I'd like to ride through Phantom Canyon and a few of the more straightforward dirt rides here in Colorado and a set of dual-sport tires would be a luxury.

The stock tires are as follows:

• Front: 110/80-17: This tire has a calculated OD of 23.92"
  Rear: 130/70-18: This tire has a calculated OD of 25.165"

After much searching and holding to the criteria of having matching front and rear tires, I found Avon's Distenzia tires. They are available in:

• Front: 120/70-17. Calculated OD 23.62"
  Rear: 120/80-18. Calculated OD 25.55"

How do you all think that front tire would fit on the stock 2.5" rim?
