The only real way to lower the bike is to drop the forks in the triple and install a shorter shock. Since the forks are in their stock location, take a look at the rear shock. Inspect its mounts, both top and bottom, as well as the shock itself, and see if anything looks odd or modified.

If you do find that the shock has been swapped or modified, a FZ6R or VStar 650 shock will restore it to proper ride height.
